Martin’s Point offers Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), HMO Point-of-Service (HMO-POS), and Local Preferred Provider Organization (LPPO) plans.
Martin’s Point is a Medicare Advantage provider serving Maine and New Hampshire. Medicare Advantage plans are available as HMOs, HMO-POSs, and LPPOs.
Martin’s Point offers several plans across its service area, including options with no premiums. Search your ZIP code on Medicare’s plan finder tool to see if Martin’s Point offers plans in your county and how much they will cost.
Martin’s Point HMO
For 2025, Martin’s Point only offers one HMO plan, the Generations Advantage Alliance HMO. It does not include prescription drug (Part D) coverage and is available in all counties in Maine and New Hampshire.
An HMO is a type of health insurance plan that works with a network of doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. To be covered, you generally need to receive care from providers within this network.
If you see a provider outside the network, your care is typically not covered, except in a medical emergency.
You’re usually required to choose a primary care provider (PCP) and visit them first before scheduling appointments with specialists. If you skip this step, your HMO may not cover the specialist visit, even if the specialist is in-network.
Martin’s Point HMO-POS
Martin’s Point offers two HMO-POS plans for 2025.
The Generations Advantage Prime HMO-POS includes Part D coverage and is available throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
The Generations Advantage Value Plus HMO-POS includes Part D coverage and is available in Maine only.
With an HMO-POS, you can see certain out-of-network providers in limited circumstances. However, you’ll have a higher copay cost than you would if you stayed in your plan’s network.
Martin’s Point LPPO
Martin’s Point offers two LPPO plans for 2025.
The Generations Advantage Access LPPO includes Part D coverage and is available in New Hampshire only.
The Generations Advantage Select LPPO includes Part D coverage and does not require you to select a PCP. It’s available throughout Maine and in select counties in New Hampshire.
LPPO plans are not the same as PPO plans. With an LPPO, your in-network options are limited to a certain geographic area, usually within a small region or county.
You may be able to see an out-of-network provider at a higher cost in certain circumstances, but you generally have less flexibility to choose providers outside the specified service area.
Martin’s Point Medicare Advantage plans cover many of your healthcare needs. You’re covered for the same basic services that Original Medicare provides, in addition to supplemental health and wellness benefits.
However, some services are only available with certain plans. For example, not all Martin’s Point plans include Part D coverage.
